Maximising your impact at cybersecurity events in 2025

Exclusive Webinar: Cutting Through the AI Noise

Industry trade shows still dominate the marketing calendar for cybersecurity companies. Large-scale events are still used as anchors for comms and marketing teams hoping to announce products, research and acquisitions or to introduce new leadership team members. However, while this has remained constant, media engagement at these shows has become increasingly competitive.

Since the pandemic forced a digitalisation of events, media attendance at trade shows has shrunk. Additionally, journalists and analysts are saturated with cybersecurity news and under greater pressure than ever to file bylines and reports promptly, making for diminishing returns on journalists physically attending shows and conducting interviews.

These events are taking place in the backdrop of an increasingly competitive cyber security market. There are more vendors than ever before chasing limited (but increasing) investment in the space. In short, it has never been more important to get a return on your investment, and amplify your message on the ground and beyond.

TFD understands this landscape. With decades of cybersecurity experience within the team - including managing media and analyst relations at major cybersecurity events - we will host a webinar to explore how companies can maximise their experience at trade shows in 2025.

Taking place on March 12th, (in advance of major global trade shows such as RSA and Infosecurity Europe) the discussion will cover the shifting sands of media and analyst engagements at these shows, and how cybersecurity and communications professionals can leverage them effectively.

Joining this discussion, hosted by TFD Director Gemma Goatly, are industry experts who can advise on trade shows from the frontline:

Featured speakers:

  • Beth Maundrill, Editor at Infosecurity Magazine. Beth joined the team in August 2022 and has spent her career dedicated to business-to-business journalism and publishing. With a strong focus on writing and producing content in technology fields she took the plunge into the world of cyber security in 2021.
  • Rik Turner, Senior Principal Analyst in Omdia’s IT Security and technology team, specializing in cybersecurity technology trends, IT security, compliance, and call recording. Rik has also worked in Omdia's financial services technology team, with a specialization in capital markets technology.
  • Conor Heslin, Account Director at TFD. Conor has worked with a range of companies in the cybersecurity space, and has attended and built client campaigns around major trade shows on both sides of the pond.

Key discussion points will include:

  • Topics that they expect to identify and cover at the trade show
  • The types of news that tend to be most successful for pitching around trade shows
  • How to build media and analyst engagement before, after, and during the trade show
